About Me
Empowering Lives through Brainspotting and Psychotherapy
I was born and raised in Pomona, California, and I am first generation Mexican American. I am bilingual and provide my services in both English and Spanish. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, also known as a licensed psychotherapist, and I specialize in Brainspotting (BSP) which is a body-brain-based therapy.
I was called to the healing arts in 2004 when I started working as a bilingual housing advocate helping survivors of domestic violence. As a survivor myself, this was a pivotal moment that launched me to pursue higher education. This is because I knew I would be a healer/therapist.
The healing that has stemmed from my own inner woundedness has allowed me to deeply understand and connect with my clients on many levels - emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually.
I am married and have four beautiful daughters. I love the ocean. I love nature. I love books. I enjoy music and dancing! I also love my intimate time with God, where I grow in peace and gain insight into His love and healing for others.
Credentials & Training
I received a bachelor of science in human services, followed by a master of social work, followed by licensing. I am trained in a wide variety of therapeutic models, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused CBT, Trauma Resiliency Model, and Brainspotting to name a few. I use these eclectically, as my clients and I see the right fit for them. I am well versed in 12-step work, as a person in recovery herself. I especially love CBT, Brainspotting and inner child and shadow work.
I would be delighted to work with you and walk with you on your healing journey.
